The community has 14 primary and elementary schools, as well as three secondary schools. West Vancouver has world-class skiing and snowboarding at Cypress Bowl, Capilano Golf & Country Club, which is rated one of the best in Canada, and the Hollyburn Country Club, which is located on 42 acres of prime real estate and has recently undergone a $15 million expansion. West Vancouver is 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver and connects quickly to the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway, which leads to Whistler. West Vancouver Transit provides daily public bus service.
